How it Works
Point-of-use electric tankless water heaters are installed for single applications and small load requirements. Common uses include under sinks in commercial sink applications for airports, restaurants and office buildings. Since the hot water does not have to travel far, it's provided almost immediately depending on the flow rate and tank size.
When a hot water tap is turned on, water from your pipes enters the water heater and passes through the heat exchanger. During that process, an electric resistance coil warms the water to the desired temperature to deliver hot water with ease.
Point-of-use water heaters boast a small footprint, so they can be installed easily on the wall near an electrical source. No venting is required.
