ENERGY STAR® certified and powered by low-GWP CO₂ refrigerant, Voltex® X delivers outstanding performance with up to a 95-gallon first-hour rating and a standard 4.5 kW output—without the need for backup elements.
Its flexible design offers multiple tank sizes, long pipe runs, and versatile installation options, including ground, wall, or rooftop mounting, with no indoor ventilation required.

How Voltex® X Works
Step 1
Cold water enters the tank through a dip tube, which forces it to the bottom of the tank while pushing hot water out through the top connection.
Step 2
The hot water leaving the tank is tempered to 120 degrees—or to the user’s preference—using a mixing valve.
Step 3
The outdoor unit begins pumping cold water from the bottom of the tank, starting the heating cycle.
Step 4
A fan pulls air across an evaporator coil, transferring heat from the air into the refrigerant inside the coil.
Step 5
The compressor starts and compresses the CO₂ refrigerant, raising its pressure and temperature as it is pumped through the inner tube of a concentric heat exchanger.
Step 6
Water flows through the outer tube of the heat exchanger, absorbing heat from the refrigerant.
Step 7
Hot water is pumped back into the top of the tank.
Step 8
This process continues until the temperature at the bottom of the tank reaches 120 degrees.
