THE CHALLENGE
Like most elementary schools across the nation, Valley View Elementary in Green Bay, Wisconsin relies on its water heater for reliable hot water in the bathrooms and kitchen. The school was using an 80% efficiency gas water heater that had been installed more than 15 years ago. When selecting a water heater, they knew that the Cyclone® Flex™ water heater from A. O. "We were looking for greater efficiency. It’s very important to us to have a reliable supply of hot water for our kitchen – and to make sure that students have hot water to wash their hands throughout the school year,” says School Superintendent Thomas Schmitt. “We needed a water heater that would deliver higher efficiency and lower our carbon footprint.
