A. O. Smith Lends A Hand To Help Nashville Residents
Ashland City, TN (Sunday, 16 July 2006)
A. O. Smith teamed up with the Nashville-based ReConstruct organization to provide local area residents some much-needed maintenance to their homes during ReConstruct's annual "Spring Clean Nashville" event.
The company contributed a $10,000 sponsorship to ReConstruct, a non-profit organization providing home repair assistance to low-income residents in Middle Tennessee. This year's event brought in close to 300 volunteers who assisted 61 elderly, disabled or low-income households with yard work, washing windows and minor repairs.
"We are pleased to work with ReConstruct to help our local neighbors," says A. O. Smith Brand Manager David Chisolm. "It's a fitting collaboration and important to our company to help support the people who live and work in the same community."
ReConstruct is a Christian organization that equips and prepares students and adults for a lifetime of mission service by providing opportunities to assist low-income residents in the repair and rehabilitation of their homes. For more information, call the ReConstruct office at (615) 377-1929 or visit www.reconstruct.org.
