A. O. Smith Expands Line of Condensing Tankless Water Heaters
ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (Tuesday, 23 August 2011)
A. O. Smith (www.hotwater.com) has announced the expansion of its already extensive offering of tankless water heaters. This new addition makes A. O. Smith’s product offering one of the most comprehensive in the industry.
The new 180,000 BTU condensing tankless models are available in natural gas or propane as well as indoor and outdoor configurations. Like all of A. O. Smith’s residential tankless models, the new units are ENERGY STAR® qualified and come with a 12-year limited warranty.
The new models offer continuous flow rates of up to eight gallons per minute. They use highly efficient condensing technology, which allows the units to operate with a .91 Energy Factor. These high efficiency units will not only save homeowner’s money in energy costs, they also use inexpensive PVC venting and are federal tax credit eligible.
Both plumbing contractors and homeowners will appreciate the new units’ easy-to-read built-in display, which shows temperature, diagnostics and error messages. The units also offer an optional remote temperature controller and a full line of accessories.
“A. O. Smith is proud to offer a water heating solution for virtually every application,” said Sandy DeWald, product manager for A. O. Smith Water Products Company. “The addition of the 180,000 BTU condensing tankless models allows us to further address our customers’ needs for more energy efficient products.”
